Ruby red color with rather deep garnet reflections, aromas of black cherry, blueberry and plum well linked to sweet sensations of cocoa and licorice. In the mouth a slight acidic freshness is the shoulder to energetic but smooth tannins in balance with a good softness.
It is placed in barriques where, for a period of 8-12 months, it smooths its angularity, rounds its tannins and reaches its balance, then it is then bottled and left to rest for at least 12 months.
It prefers rustic dishes, typical of the Umbrian tradition: legume soups, roasted meats, game, cured meats and aged cheeses.
